Start with a self-guided tour
See Daisy's our spokescow's edutaining moooovie "Lights, Camera, Cheese" and then head up the stairs or elevator to the second level to check out the fun exhibits. A dairy model, "mixing" a cow meal, a full size cow and tons of fun activities make this a fun place to hang out. Watch our employees package the "big cheese" as 640 lb. crate of cheese.  Plan to stay for lunch as our cheese chowder soup and cheese pie are famous! Stop by the espresso and ice cream counter to top off your visit. Browse the great selection of gourmet foods, wines, cheeses and gifts for that someone at home. Take a stroll through our park  and under our waterfall (you'll stay dry) before you continue your journey.  And, we have beautiful bathrooms, a plus for any traveler.

Headed From Us To Yosemite?
Head south on 99 through Atwater and stop by Castle Air Museum, one of the most awe-inspiring collections of majestic warbirds. Traveling with kids?  Just across the street is the Castle Science and Technology Center with many hands on exhibits. The Challenger Learning Center is across the way and offers information about space exploration.   

Stop by the Merced Welcome Center for information about lodging, local events and restaurants. The Merced Multicultural Art Center features local artists and musical events. Enjoy a night of live theatre at Playhouse Merced. The Merced County Courthouse Museum showcases the local history of Merced County. Download a free audio tour to enjoy as you travel north on Highway 140 towards Mariposa.  

Yosemite this year offers information on lodging and sights along the way. Chuckchansi Gold Resort and Casino is one the newest resorts and offers great dining, lodging and entertainment.   

Traveling Towards Interstate 5?
Stop by Stewart and Jasper Almonds to sample delicious flavored almonds.

Going East Towards The Gold Country And Sonora?
Enjoy a spectacular train ride through the countryside aboard the Sierra Railroad. Stop by and learn about Gouda cheese at Oakdale Cheese and visit the famous Oakdale Cowboy Museum.  If you are headed into the mountains, learn more about the Calaveras County region and Sonora.   

Headed North On Highway 99 To Sacramento?
The Modesto Convention and Visitor Bureau showcases many exciting things to do in the area. Sciabica & Sons Olive Oil offers a chance to learn about a family owned company and taste delicious samples. McHenry Mansion and McHenry Museum is a favorite stop for history fans.
