Hilmar Cheese Company manufactures and markets three main products — cheese, and through our Hilmar Ingredients division, whey proteins
and lactose.
Our cheese is natural American cheese, like Cheddar,
Monterey Jack and Colby. It is used by private label and national brands in
cheese packs, as well as by retail and foodservice companies in their menu

The whey protein and lactose found in milk are not used in
our cheese-making. Instead, these functional, nutritious ingredients are marketed
by Hilmar Ingredients, a division of Hilmar Cheese Company. Food, beverage,
confectionary and pharmaceutical companies around the world use our whey
